HOUSTON – TGS has expanded its Facies Map Browser (FMB) covering Northwest Europe and the Barents Sea.
Version 4.5.0, delivered in late March to existing clients and now widely available, is designed to help offshore operators improve their subsurface knowledge of these regions.
The latest version of FMB followed a year-long process of geological analysis.
Updates include all newly released exploration and appraisal well datasets from the UK and Norwegian continental shelves, along with mud gas logs and upgrades to the Jurassic, Upper Cretaceous and Tertiary stratigraphic interpretations.
TGS says the data should support technical evaluations for future licensing rounds.
