SINGAPORE – Seatrium and Shell Global Solutions International have signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on opportunities for floating production systems.

The MoU, with a focus on project standardization and replication, seeks to promote best practices in design and construction, with both parties applying their experience and knowledge from previous projects to achieve further benefits of replication.

Currently Seatrium and Shell are working on the Sparta floating production unit project in the US Gulf of Mexico that will harness Seatrium’s topsides single lift integration methodology, following the fabrication of the newbuild Vito and Whale FPUs in 2021 and 2023 respectively.
