Sapura Energy subsidiaries have won three offshore construction contracts.

KUALA LUMPUR, MalaysiaSapura Energy subsidiaries have won three offshore construction contracts.

ExxonMobil has contracted Sapura Fabrication for procurement, onshore pre-fabrication, offshore maintenance, construction, and modification works related to topsides maintenance, workover preparation and facilities improvement projects for offshore facilities in Peninsular Malaysia waters.

This is a five-year call-out contract that runs to July 2023, with works performed according to orders issued by ExxonMobil based on contract unit rates and prices.

Quadrant Energy Australia has commissioned Normand Sapura to undertake offshore installation work for the East Spar intelligent pigging and removal project.

This will involve pigging of the East Spar subsea pipeline from the pipeline end manifold (PLEM) up to the onshore processing facilities in Varanus Island, off the northwest coast of Western Australia.

It also involves recovery of all subsea infrastructures from three subsea wells (ES1, ES3, and ES6) comprising subsea heat exchangers, tie-in spools, flexible flowlines and an associated control umbilical for subsequent dismantling and disposal. The FP2 vesselSapura Constructor will support the program.

Saidel has subcontracted Sapura Offshore to perform construction engineering and offshore construction of a 16-in. Southern SWAMP sales gas evacuation pipeline project in Nigeria’s Delta Region, operated by Shell.

The 18.4-km (11.4-mi) pipeline will run from onshore target Box to the EA riser platform – A, and the work will include a 1.62-km (1-mi) beach pull, a three-sections tie-in spool at the EA riser platform – A, and installation of two concrete mattresses at the crossing location offshore Nigeria.

Both the Australia and Nigeria programs should be completed by 4Q 2019.

In addition, Brunei Shell Petroleum has extended by a year Sapura Drilling’s contract for the semisubmersible tender-assisted drilling rigSapura Pelaut and associated drilling services, starting 1Q 2020.
