Qeshm Island yard completes Forouzan platform

The topsides for platform 18F of the Forouzan offshore oilfield in the Persian Gulf has been loaded out of the yard in southern Iran, according to news service Shana.

TEHRAN, Iran – The topsides for platform 18F of the Forouzan offshore oilfield in the Persian Gulf has been loaded out of the yard in southern Iran, according to news service Shana.

Iranian Offshore Oil Co. commissioned the 940-t structure from Iran International General Contractor Co. in Qeshm Island.

Sea-fastening of the topsides for delivery to the oilfield would follow in two months, the report added. Once the platform is installed seven production wells are due to be drilled.
