Kencana wins J4 field development

Petronas Carigali Sdn. Bhd. has awarded Kencana Petroleum Bhd. a $38.7-million contract for the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of a platform and structures for the J4 development project off Bintulu in the east Malaysian state of Sarawak.

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia -- Petronas Carigali Sdn. Bhd. has awarded Kencana Petroleum Bhd. a $38.7-million contract for the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of a platform and structures for the J4 development project off Bintulu in the east Malaysian state of Sarawak.

Kencana is to carry out its work on the offshore platform, substructures, and facilities through the middle of next year.
