CUEL wins Cauvery basin contract

CUEL Ltd. has won a project to supply wellhead jacket and topside to a Hindustan Oil Exploration Co. field in the northern offshore portion of the Cauvery basin.

BANGKOK, Thailand -- CUEL Ltd. has won a project to supply wellhead jacket and topside to a Hindustan Oil Exploration Co. field in the northern offshore portion of the Cauvery basin.

CUEL said the work scope covers engineering constructability reviews, procuring all materials and spares, fabrication, loadout, and sea fastening for the 3,320-metric ton (3,660-ton) structures and facilities.

The platform, scheduled to sail away Jan. 2009, will be built at the CUEL yard in Laem Chabang, Chonburi province, on the eastern seaboard of Thailand.
