Oilfield group wins North Sea, Caspian construction contracts

ABERDEEN, UK --Three subsidiaries of Sovereign Oilfield Services Groups have won diverse orders for North Sea and Caspian projects.

In the UK sector, OIL will fabricate subsea structures for Maersk Oil's Affleck development under a $1.86 million-plus contract. It also has a subsea structure construction order from Bibby for Petro-Canada's Saxon development, and a topside pipework contract from Sigma-3 related to Shell's Starling-Shearwater tieback.

Caledonian Petroleum Services has its largest order to date, again worth over $1.86 million, to supply equipment for Apache's Forties A and Delta K58 compressor modules.

Finally, Amec has contracted SDS for the dimensional surveying of seven platforms in the Caspian Sea.
