Hindustan Oil awards development to Horizon Offshore

Hindustan Oil Exploration Co. Ltd. has awarded Horizon Marine Construction (Mauritius) Ltd. a contract for supply, transportation, and installation of an offshore wellhead, platform, topsides, and subsea pipeline offshore India.

HOUSTON –Hindustan Oil Exploration Co. Ltd. has awarded Horizon Marine Construction (Mauritius) Ltd. a contract for supply, transportation, and installation of an wellhead, platform, topsides, and subsea pipeline offshore India.

The project calls for transportation and installation of a four-pile jacket and deck plus 57 km (35 mi) of 14-in (35.5-cm) OD gas transmission pipeline from PY-1 field to shore. Construction is expected to begin in Jan. 2009.
