MONACO -- The MOPUstor jackup platform for Talisman Energy Norge’s Yme field are scheduled to be loaded out from the yard in Abu Dhabi next month, contractor SBM Offshore confirms.
Another SBM-supplied MOPU platform, for EnCana’s Deep Panuke project off eastern Canada, is in assembly in the dry dock at Gulf Piping Corp. in Abu Dhabi.
Here completion work has been put back to the second half of this year to allow scope changes. Fabrication of the platform legs is being conducted in the Netherlands, with CMP in Dunkerque supplying the riser caisson, and Aecon Fabco in Pictou, Nova Scotia, providing the flare tower.
Among other SBM projects in progress, refurbishment and conversion of theP-57 FPSO for Petrobras is nearing completion at the Keppel shipyard in Singapore. On arrival in Brazil, the BrasFELS yard will undertake topsides integration before the scheduled offshore installation late this year.
Another FPSO conversion by Keppel in Singapore, the Woodside Okha, should be completed in the second half of 2010. The same yard should shortly finish the final section of the turret for BP’s Skarv FPSO offshore mid-Norway.
Earlier this month, Keppel delivered the Capixaba following an upgrade program, and the vessel is on its way to Brazil.
