Falklands samples undergo analysis

Rockhopper Exploration has suspended its Sea Lion discovery well in the offshore North Falklands basin for future testing.

PORT STANLEY, Falkland Islands -- Rockhopper Exploration has suspended its Sea Lion discovery well in the offshore North Falklands basin for future testing.

Well 14/10-2 was drilled to a TD of 2,744 m (9,002 ft).

Analysis of the results continues. Samples extracted from the well are being transported to the UK and within a fortnight, Rockhopper hopes to be able to provide an update on the size of the discovery.
