POGC expects new South Pars commitments

Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) will sign a contract next week to develop South Pars gas field phases 27 and 28 in the Persian Gulf, according to Iran’s news network Shana.

TEHRAN -- Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) will sign a contract next week to develop South Pars gas field phases 27 and 28 in the Persian Gulf, according to Iran’s news network Shana.

During a briefing at the 15th International Oil Show in Tehran, a POGC director said the contract would be signed with Petropars.

He also said that final negotiations are under way with Shell and Repsol concerning phases 13 and 14, with a decision set to be taken during the next few days.

The spokesman added that Iran’s Petroleum Ministry had committed 250 million Euro bonds towards South Pars phases 15-18 over the past Iranian calendar year, and further Euro bonds for the project would be authorized shortly.
