TEHRAN -- Drilling and pipelay operations are well advanced on Iran’s South Pars Phase 12 development in the Persian Gulf.
According to Gholamreza Manouchehri, Managing Director of Petropars Co., offshore development drilling is 61% complete, and all 12 wells drilled by the two rigs have reached the main reservoir.
As for pipelaying, Manouchehri said that 137 km of the project’s first pipeline had been installed, and the full 150 km should be completed within the next 10 days.
Laying of the second line will begin immediately afterwards. All three Phase 12 pipelines should be in place by March 2011.
