ABERDEEN, UK -- EnQuest, the newly formed company combining Petrofac and Lundin Petroleum’s UK offshore interests, has issued a development bulletin.
At the Thistle/Deveron fields in the northern North Sea, high levels of water injection and improved power system uptime have lifted production. Thistle’s Well A46 also re-started at 600 boe/d, following a workover and installation of a jet pump.
Later this year, two new producer wells are scheduled at Thistle, the first from the platform for more than two decades.
At West Don, the third producer well (W4) spudded on Aug. 7, ahead of schedule due to early completion of the Don Southwest S5 and S6 wells.
First-half production from the Heather and Broom fields, again in the northern sector, dipped below the corresponding level for 2009 due to the need to re-instate one of the flowlines connecting Broom to the Heather platform. The flowline should be hooked up later this summer.
At Broom, the performance of the BR7 NWT well and sidetrack were disappointing. EnQuest has suspended the well for potential future use of the top hole.
