Offshore staff
(UK) - Petrofac Brownfield has been awarded the conceptual and front-end engineering design (FEED) study and the follow-on engineering and construction activities by Venture Production for the Goosander field.
The contract has an estimated value of $13.9 million.
The Goosander topsides reception facilities will be installed on the Kittiwake platform.
The Goosander development project, with first oil planned for August 2006, comprises a single production well, which will be tied back to the Kittiwake platform through a subsea bundle.
Production will be supported by gas injection and water injection.
The field, located in block 21/12 within the Greater Kittiwake Area, is approximately 11 km northwest of the Kittiwake installation.
The expected field life is 7 to 10 years, with cumulative production of 15.2 MMbbl of oil and 2.6 bcf of gas (gross).
