Offshore staff
(Bergen) Dreggen Crane has picked up orders for 16 rail-traveling offshore cranes for nine semisubmersible drilling rigs under construction in the Far East. The orders have a combined value of NOK 73 million, and will be delivered between now and 2008.
The company is supplying cranes in capacities of 50, 75 and 100 ton SWL, for use in EExe Zone IIB/T3 areas. The package includes BOP and X-mas tree handling cranes, and will be used with drilling equipment supplied by Aker Kvaerner. Four of the new semisubs will be operated by Seadrill.
