Woodside looks at Browse offshore LNG plant

HAMILTON, Bermuda -- Woodside Energy Ltd. has contracted Foster Wheeler Ltd. to do a study on processing gas from the Browse field offshore Western Australia into LNG at an offshore facility.
The Browse gas fields comprise the Torosa, Brecknock, and Calliance gas fields which were discovered in 1971, 1979, and 2000, respectively. These offshore fields are in water depths ranging from 35 m. to 700 m.
WorleyParsons Services Pty. Ltd. is a joint venture partner in this study to evaluate the technical considerations for an offshore LNG facility.
