Offshore staff

OSLO, Norway -- Fred Olsen Energy ASA and Korea National Oil Corp. have signed a letter of intent to jointly request proposals for construction of a newbuild ultra deepwater drillship.

Dolphin Drilling Ltd., an Olsen Energy subsidiary, would undertake the technical and comercial operation of the vessel, if the project is realized. A final determination is expected before year-end.
