Newfield contracts jacket, topside in Malaysia

    An Oilcorp Bhd. subsidiary has received a $10.9-million engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning contract for jackets and topsides for Chermingat-A platform from Newfield Peninsular Malaysia Inc.

    SINGAPORE -- An Oilcorp Bhd. subsidiary has received a $10.9-million engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning contract for jackets and topsides for Chermingat-A platform from Newfield Peninsular Malaysia Inc.

    Oilfab Sdn. Bhd. is scheduled to start work immediately and to deliver the project in 2Q07. Fabrication is set for Oilfab's yard on Pulau Indah, an island off Port Klang on the west coast of peninsular Malaysia.
