DUBAI, UAE – Drydocks World has finished construction of the fifth wellhead platform for Dubai Petroleum’s AQAM field development offshore the UAE.
Main contractor TechnipFMC commissioned the platform, which will provide oil handling, gas lift, and water injection.
The topsides is an oil and gas processing module weighing 900 tons, designed for unmanned offshore operation and with a life span of 25 years. Drydocks World also fabricated, integrated, and commissioned the piping and control systems.
The supporting 800-ton jacket will be installed in a water depth of 40 m (131 ft).
In addition, the yard was responsible for fabrication of the piles, oil, water injection and gas risers and the subsea spools connecting the platform to Dubai Petroleum’s existing subsea network.
