Clough awarded Montara installation contract

PTTEP Australasia (Ashmore Cartier) has awarded Clough Ltd. a $75-million contract to install offshore facilities for the Montara field development.

PERTH, Australia -- PTTEP Australasia (Ashmore Cartier) has awarded Clough Ltd. a $75-million contract to install offshore facilities for the Montara field development.

The project incorporates the Montara, Swift, and Skua fields in production licenses AC/L7 and AC/L8 in the Timor Sea.

The scope of work is for the transportation and installation of the 750-metric ton (827-ton) Montara wellhead platform deck, the 285-metric ton (314-ton) mooring buoy with nine associated mooring legs, approximately 26 km (16 mi) of infield pipelines, and the 100 metric ton (110 ton) Swift subsea manifold.

The offshore installation campaign, which will use the pipelay bargeJava Constructor, is scheduled to start towards the end of 2Q 2009.
