TEHRAN -- Construction of five platform jackets for the Reshdat field development in the Persian Gulf should be completed in 2010.
Iran’s Petroenergy Information Network (Shana) reported that two of the jackets had so far been built and installed at their offshore locations. Timing for installation of the other three will depend on weather conditions, which can be turbulent in the Persian Gulf in fall and winter, according to Reshdat offshore section project manager Ali Khoei.
Deep Water Technology Company is responsible for placement of the jackets. Sadra is responsible for engineering of the platforms’ drilling rigs, equipment for which is currently at the Boushehr yard.
