HARTLEPOOL, UK --Heerema Hartlepool has fabricated a 750-ton (680-metric ton) process module for installation on BP’s Andrew platform in the UK North Sea.

According to Heerema project manager Ken Scott, the 18-m (59-ft) long, 28-m (92-ft) high structure has been constructed as a “bolt on” module, meaning that it will be positioned on the side of the platform on two giant pins in two engagement components.

For the electrical cabling, the pulling installation and dressing was performed using telescopic boom lifts (cherry pickers), due to access restrictions caused by the module’s configuration.
