HOUSTON – KBR (NYSE:KBR) has won a front-end engineering design (FEED) contract for an unnamed project offshore Angola.
The work relates to the topsides and hull associated with a newbuild, double-sided, single-bottom hull FPSO. FEED will last 12 months.
The spread-moored vessel will be capable of storing 1 MMbbl of oil and accommodating 130 personnel. It will feature a single-train topsides designed to process 80,000 b/d of oil and 90 MMcf/d (2.5 MMcm/d) of gas at an export pressure of 3,500 psi (241 bar), and to inject up to 130,000 b/d of water.
KBR’s offices in Houston, Gothenburg, and Luanda will support the project.
