Shell contracts Oceaneering for subsea hardware on Perdido

Shell has awarded Oceaneering International a contract for the fabrication and installation of subsea hardware on Shell's ultra deepwater Perdido regional development project in the US Gulf of Mexico.

LONDON -- Shell has awarded Oceaneering International a contract for the fabrication and installation of subsea hardware on Shell's ultra deepwater Perdido regional development project in the US Gulf of Mexico.

The hardware includes 29 flowline and well jumper spools, a pipeline tie-in sled, and related products. Hardware installations are scheduled to begin later this year.

Oceaneering plans to perform installation services using its dynamically positioned vessels, including theOlympic Intervention IV, which will soon be available for service.
