Aker signs MA-D6 subsea development change order

Aker Installation FP has signed a $235 million change order to an existing contract with Reliance Industries for transportation, installation, and commissioning of the MA-D6 subsea development (Phase 2), including gas export system and production wells.

OSLO -- Aker Installation FP has signed a $235 million change order to an existing contract with Reliance Industries for transportation, installation, and commissioning of the MA-D6 subsea development (Phase 2), including gas export system and production wells.

Last year, Aker Solutions signed a contract for the delivery of a complete subsea production system, including umbilicals, to Reliance Industry's fast-track MA-D6 development. Aker Solutions managed Phase 1 of the subsea installation.

The Phase 2 installation is scheduled for completion by 2Q 2009.
