Neptune TLP hull anomalies identified

Hull anomalies were identified in the Neptune TLP during commissioning of the facility in the Gulf of Mexico, according to operator BHP Billiton.

HOUSTON -- Hull anomalies were identified in the Neptune TLP hull during commissioning of the facility in the Gulf of Mexico, according to operator BHP Billiton.

The operator is undertaking structural inspection and analysis before advising any required action. First production was originally scheduled by the end of March.

BHP Billiton operates Neptune with a 35% interest. Partners include Marathon Oil Co. (30%), Woodside Energy (USA) Inc. (20%), and Maxus (US) Exploration Co. (15%).
