Perenco books rig for Welland abandonments

HOUSTON -- Perenco has contracted Northern Offshore U.K. for a well abandonment program in the UK southern gas basin.

The jackup Energy Enhancer will undertake two well abandonments on the Welland field immediately after it has finished its current commitment. These programs should take a total of 60 days to complete.

Perenco has options to extend the contract to up to three further wells, each with an estimated duration of 60 days.
