Dana Petroleum has contracted Scana Offshore Vestby to supply mooring winches for an FPSO for the Western Isles development in the UK northern North Sea.

STAVANGER, Norway – Dana Petroleum has contracted Scana Offshore Vestby to supply mooring winches for an FPSO for the Western Isles development in the UK northern North Sea. Contract value is $9.85 million.
The program will additionally involve Scana Steel Stavanger.
Western Isles takes in the Harris and Barra oil fields, 12 km (7.5 mi) west of the TAQA-operated Tern field.
The cylinder-shaped FPSO, based on Sevan Marine technology, is under construction at COSCO Qidong Shipyard in China.
Scana Offshore Vestby has previously delivered mooring winches for three Sevan-designed FPSOs.
