LONDON – SOCO International says the Hoang Long Joint Operating Co. (HLJOC) has received formal approval from the Vietnamese authorities for its update of in-place hydrocarbons at the TGT field offshore southern Vietnam.

Work continues on the updated field development plan. The HLJOC completed a production logging program on selected wells – results should inform proposals for additional perforations and/or water shut-offs.

These are in addition to recent perforations in four wells and a water shut-off liner in one well, which have collectively boosted production by around 2,200 boe/d.

At theCNV field in the same Nam Con Son basin, operated by Hoan Vu Joint Operating Co., detailed engineering studies are under way on ways to increase production via modifications to process facilities on the host platform at the Bach Ho complex.

SOCO has also received approval from the government to start negotiations for a 70% interest in a production-sharing contract for offshore blocks 125/126.

Offshore Congo (Brazzaville), the company operates the Marine XI block. Here it is progressing discussions with the authorities on commercialization options for theLidongo discovery, after submitting a production license application.

Seismic reprocessing has been completed following successful discoveries on neighboring blocks and is undergoing interpretation to define additional potential on Marine XI.
