Swiber wins first work offshore the Middle East

Swiber Holdings has won three new contracts for offshore projects in the Middle East and Southeast Asia with a combined value of $215 million.

SINGAPORE – Swiber Holdings has won three new contracts for offshore projects in the Middle East and Southeast Asia with a combined value of $215 million.

One is an EPCI contract from a European oil major to perform pipeline replacement work offQatar, Swiber’s first offshore construction project in the Middle East.

Engineering has started and work is expected to be completed next summer.

Offshore Myanmar,Swiber is in a consortium responsible for EPCI of two wellhead platforms, associated pipelines and tie-ins for an unnamed Southeast Asian oil and gas company.

All work should finish by 1Q 2018. The client has options to award an additional two wellhead platforms.

The third contract involves provision of transport and installation services for a full-field development project offshore Vietnam. The program should be completed during 3Q.
