BELLSHILL, UK – Alphastrut has won a contract to provide raised access flooring for the Det norke oljeselskap-operated Ivar Aasen platform in the central Norwegian North Sea.
The aluminum system will cover a total area of 450 sq m (4,844 sq ft). Alphastrut says it is the only company that could supply a solution that allowed for the requirement of three layers of cable management, each separated by a 30-mm (1.2-in.) gap, to assist air conditioning.
Platform fabricator SMOE is manufacturing the flooring system at its Singapore yard, with integrated set to follow during the current quarter.
