RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil — Petrobras has completed the sale of its interests in various offshore fields in the Espirito Santo Basin offshore Brazil to 3R Petroleum Offshore.
The staggered payments under the transaction could total more than $56 million, depending on future Brent prices and subsequent field development.
Petrobras sold its 100% ownership of the shallow-water gas fields Peroá and Cangoá, which have delivered on average 572,000 cu. m per day of non-associated gas so far this year. It also offloaded its 100% interest in the deepwater BM-ES-21 concession, containing the Malombe discovery.
Collectively, these are known as the Peroá Cluster.
3R Petroleum Offshore (ex-OP Energia) is focused on the redevelopment of mature and producing offshore fields.
