McDermott nets construction work for four Aramco offshore fields

HOUSTONSaudi Aramco has awarded McDermott three new contracts for engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) projects.

The company will provide EPCI services for four drilling jackets and seven oil production deck modules at the offshore Zuluf, Ribyan, Abu Sa'fah, and Safaniya fields.

In addition, the company has three contract release purchase orders covering construction of over 28 mi (45 km) of pipelines, more than 62 mi (100 km) of subsea cables, and tie-ins to existing facilities.

Fabrication should start early next year, with offshore installations getting under way in 4Q 2022, followed by overall completion in spring 2023.
