Indonesia gas fields on track for late-year start-up
Earlier this month the jackup Hakuryu-11 spudded the first of the three development wells at Bison.
Later this month, a 3D seismic survey over the Andaman Sea should be completed. The data will be used to mature prospects identified on 2D data on the company’s Andaman II license.
In the UK central North Sea, Premier is targeting formal project sanction by mid-year for development of the Catcher North and Laverda satellite fields through the Catcher FPSO. An Ensco rig will drill the wells after completing the Varadero infill well (V5) in the same area. V5 is due to spud during 2Q 2020.
At Rosetti Marino’s yard in Ravenna, eastern Italy, fabrication of the primary structural steels and nodes for the Tolmount gas platform in the UK southern North Sea is progressing. Also, under way is erection of the cellar deck and pre-assembly of the main deck. The jackup Ensco 123 will spud the first Tolmount development well in 2Q 2020 ahead of first gas later that year.
In the offshore North Falkland basin, technical definition and cost optimization of Premier’s Sea Lion project is nearing completion.
Later this month, 3D seismic acquisition will get under way across block 30 offshore Mexico (Premier 30%), containing the potential high-impact Wahoo and Cabrilla prospects.
