Tower Resources advances Cameroon drilling plans after Thali license extension

Cameroon has extended the offshore Thali license through October 2027, allowing Tower Resources to progress a farm-out agreement, secure a rig contract and prepare for drilling of the NJOM-3 well on the Njonji structure in 2027.

Why this news matters:

  • The license extension preserves momentum for one of Cameroon’s active offshore exploration projects and provides additional time to advance drilling plans.

  • A successful NJOM-3 well could help de-risk further development of the Njonji discovery and support future production plans.

  • The project highlights continued efforts to attract investment and advance offshore resource development across West Africa.
