OSLO, Norway — The Shelf Drilling Winner jackup has spud the Harald East Middle Jurassic well in the Danish North Sea for the TotalEnergies-led DUC consortium.

Harald East is close to the median line with Norway. According to DUC partner BlueNord, the gas (if proven) will be exported through the newly revamped Tyra East facilities.

In a success case, production could start by the end of this year. BlueNord expects to gain up to 8 MMboe net reserves, of which about 80% will likely be gas.

The well will drill through the chalk reservoir and then into the Jurassic reservoir.
