OSLO, Norway – BP Exploration Operating Co. has declared the first of two options under its recent contract with Fred. Olsen Energy for hiring the semisubmersible drilling rig Blackford Dolphin.

The total anticipated duration is around 60 days, at a cost of is £5.9 million ($8.3 million).
