PSA authorizes operations at Oseberg wellhead platform

Statoil has received approval from Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority to put into commission the new wellhead platform Oseberg H in the North Sea.

OSLO, Norway – Statoil has received approval from Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority to put into commission the new wellhead platform Oseberg H, part of the Oseberg Vestflanken 2 development on the Oseberg field in the North Sea.

This applies to the period in which the new jackupAskepott is drilling production wells from the new platform.

Oseberg H is a simple facility without processing equipment, living quarters, drilling plant, or helideck. It will be remotely operated and monitored from the control room at Oseberg field center.
