Maersk Intrepid preparing to drill at Martin Linge in the North Sea

Statoil has authorization from Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority to use the jackup Maersk Intrepid for production drilling on the Martin Linge field in the North Sea.

OSLO, Norway – Statoil has authorization from Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority to use the jackup Maersk Intrepid for production drilling on the Martin Linge field in the North Sea.

Water depth is 115 m (377 ft).

The consent covers the top-hole sections for wells on the field, where Statoil recently succeeded Total as operator.

Operations should start early next month and could continue for up to 42 days.
