PSA authorizes two Norway field programs

Aker BP has permission from Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority to use the jackup Maersk Invincible on the Valhall Flank North and Valhall Flank South fields in the southern Norwegian North Sea.

OSLO, Norway – Aker BP has permission from Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) to use the jackup Maersk Invincible on the Valhall Flank North and Valhall Flank South fields in the southern Norwegian North Sea.

The consent applies to production drilling, well operations, and use of the rig as a flotel at both locations.

Drilling operations will start in October.

Wintershall Norge has the PSA’s consent to useIsland Wellserver for light intervention work on the Maria field in Norwegian Sea licenses PL 475BS and 475CS.

The consent concerns well 6406/3-H-3H.
