COSLPioneer to drill next-phase North Sea Buzzard wells

SANDNES, Norway – Nexen Petroleum has contracted the semisubmersible COSLPioneer for drilling at the Buzzard Phase II development in the UK central North Sea.

Rig operator COSL Drilling Europe expects the campaign, comprising at least six wells, to start next February, and to continue for 16-18 months.

Currently the rig is engaged in a P&A campaign elsewhere in the UK sector. It now has firm contract work until 3Q 2020.
