Tendeka to provide completion services for Cat-J rigs in the North Sea

Statoil has extended completions specialist Tendeka’s work scope at its fields offshore Norway.

OSLO, Norway – Statoil has extended completions specialist Tendeka’s work scope at its fields offshore Norway.

This covers provision of sand screens and inflow control technologies for the new Cat-J rigs,Askeladden and Askepott over a four-year period, extendable by two additional two-year periods.

The rigs will soon start operating on the Oseberg and Gullfaks licenses. Both are designed to drill harsh environment, shallow water wells in depths of up to 150 m (492 ft), with drilling capabilities down to a subsurface depth of 10,000 m (32,808 ft).
