Overseas Marine Logistics to provide jackup barges for HHI

Overseas Marine Logistics has won a contract by Hyundai Heavy Industries for the provision of six self-propelled/self-elevating maintenance/accommodation/crane jackup barges.

ABU DHABI – Overseas Marine Logistics L.L.C. (OML) has been awarded a contract by Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) for the provision of six self-propelled/self-elevating maintenance/accommodation/crane jackup barges to operate in the NASR Phase II full field development project package No. 2, with OML units being engaged in topside hook-up and commissioning.
This contract comes as a continuation of OML’s earlier award by HHI as Marine Contractor & General Agency EPC Work for the NASR full field development project–package 2.
OML services throughout the course of this contract include provision ofADMA–OPCO approved marine spreads with logistics support, maintenance works and agency services for the fleet employed by HHI for the project.
The NASR offshore oilfield is located about 131 km northwest of Abu Dhabi in the Arabian Gulf, about 63 km (39 mi) northeast of DAS Island, about 30 km (18.6 mi) northeast of the Umm Shaif Super Complex (USSC) and about 40 km (24.8 mi) southeast of the Abu Al Bukhoosh (ABK) facilities.
OML says that its newly acquired units have been built according to the ADNOC “Jack Up Unit Integrity Management Standard” (JUIMS) as well as the latest ADNOC Offshore Standing Instructions. Work is expected to begin in 1Q 2018.
