Offshore staff

HOUSTON --Energy Partners Ltd. (EPL) has first production from its 100% owned and operated field in South Timbalier block 46. Gas production is flowing at 25 MMcf/d with associated liquids from ST 46 well No. 4.

Production from the field was accelerated, according to EPL, as a result of its recent discovery with ST 46 well No. 3. The well was drilled to 20,395 ft (6,216 m) TD, and encountered 250 ft (76 m) of gas pay in the shallow section of the hole and 100 ft (30 m) of pay in the deeper section, according to EPL.

A flow test on the deeper section is planned for the second half of this year.
