DALLAS --ENSCO is outfitting its 250-ft (76-m) Gulf of Mexico-based jackup ENSCO 93 for international work.
The rig is expected to enter a shipyard in early June for seven months of preparation, according to ENSCO.
"We remain positive on our markets, and expect increasing international activity to continue to require additional rigs," says Dan Rabun, ENSCO president and CEO.
Meanwhile,ENSCO 105 is en route from the GoM to Tunisia for an 18-month contract and ENSCO 83 is expected to be ready in May for international work.
"In the Gulf of Mexico, rates appear to have stabilized, although the dynamics of the market have not changed and visibility remains limited," says Rabun.
