EDINBURGH, UK --Bowleven Plc. has completed its D-1 exploration well in block MLHP 5 of the Etinde permit, Douala basin, offshore Cameroon as a gas and condensate discovery.

The well tested a75-ft (23-m) multiple turbidite channel sane at 25 MMcf/d of gas and 1,400 b/d of condensate through a 1-in (2.54-cm) choke.

TheAdriatic VI rig now will move to 1F-1 to drill an exploration well updip of Bowleven's successful appraisal well in Rio Del Rey basin.
