Offshore staff

OSLO, Norway --Norsk Hydro Produksjon is scheduled to start drilling soon on the first of two exploratory wells in the Norwegian North Sea, using the semisub Transocean Winner.

Norway's Petroleum Safety Authority approved the program, which involves drilling the wells (one a sidetrack) into two independent formations in production license 169. The location is 160 km (99.42 mi) west of Karmoey.

Hydro's partners in the license are ExxonMobil and Petoro.
