Total reports two Indonesian gas discoveries

PARIS –Total has made two natural gas discoveries in the Mahakam block 45 km (28 mi) offshore from Balikpapan, Indonesia.
Both wells were drilled in 60 m (197 ft) water depth. The two are planned to be developed along with Stupa field, which is expected to go on production in 2012.
Total is operator of the Mahakam block with a 50% interest alongside partner Inpex (50%).
