Bayou Bend testing Bootspur

VANCOUVER -- Bayou Bend Petroleum is testing its Bootspur gas/condensate prospect in the Marsh Island area in Louisiana state waters.

Todco'sRig 52 spudded Bootspur No. 1 on June 24. The well is expected to reach TD in September.

Bootspur is an offset to Contango Oil and Gas' recent Dutch discovery in Eugene Island block 10, according to Bayou Bend. Pending drilling results, well No. 1 will tie-in to the company's existing EI-7 production platform.
