ABERDEEN, UK --Dana Petroleum is set to drill wells on the Kerloch and Rinnes prospects in the UK northern North Sea, following delivery of the semisubmersible Sedco 704.

Over the coming months, the company also plans to explore the Scolty gas prospect in the southern sector, using the jackupEnsco 100, and it will participate in the Bjorn well west of Troll off Norway, to be drilled by the Bredford Dolphin.

In the central UK North Sea, Dana expects to complete studies for the joint development of the Phyllis and Barbara gas fields by end-November. It is also working on a solution for Babbage in the southern gas basin. Both projects could produce first gas in 2009.
